Richard Branson

One of the most recognizable names in business today, Sir Richard Branson is a business magnate who is most well-known for being the founder of Virgin group which is comprised of over 400 companies. His endeavors range from having businesses in several different industries to his work in philanthropy and the unorthodox ways that he runs his companies. Growing up Branson had dyslexia and did poorly in school, never excelling in the standard learning system. On his last day of school his teacher said that he would either end up in jail or become a millionaire. He dropped out of school at 16 to start his own magazine called Student. Branson showed an entrepreneurial streak at a young age a decision which his parents were very supportive of. From there Branson started a record store in London, eventually turning into a recording studio. Branson never stopped from there, building companies in airlines, spirits, mobile carriers, comics, spacecraft and countless other endeavors. He is best known for the way that he conducts business, giving his employees unlimited vacation and believing that employees should have fun in what they are doing. His laid back style of leadership has allowed him to retain top talent in most of his businesses. Branson lives every day as if it where his last, going on a never ending adventure with the curiosity of a child. Happiness ne believes should be the driving force in all aspects of life, what a beautiful concept to follow. Branson’s unlimited ambition has shown the world to never limit yourself in any way, if you are passionate about you do and are never satisfied with where you currently are anything is possible for your life.
