Many people who are fitness enthusiasts have the conception that if you annihilate a certain muscle group then results will follow. These people try to lift as much weight as possible, sometimes not even paying attention to form. As long as they do the exercise with intensity it is sufficient enough to bolster hypertrophy. Results are little because most people fail to understand a fundamental principle for building a quality physique, the mind muscle connection. The mind muscle connection is using your mind to consciously stretch and contract the muscle with each repetition, allowing for maximum control over the exercise. Building a strong mind muscle connection allows us to work the muscle effectively, spurring growth with each workout. Understanding how a muscle works and operates with each exercise will result in a better outcome for your fitness goals. Take the time before each workout to not only warm up the muscles but to get a feel for how they will be properly used later in the workout. Don’t rely on weight alone to get you results, have complete control over the weight will make your muscles grow much more effectively.
