Preworkout meals

Making sure that your body is properly fueled is essential to making the most out of your workouts, especially right before the workout itself. Most people neglect the importance of having a light meal 45 minute to an hour before a workout, this is even more important if you’ve hadn’t had a meal in a few hours. A light meal containing some fast digesting protein and moderate digesting carbs should be sufficient in meeting your workout needs. An example would be an apple and a 3 ounce chicken breast. Also make sure to stay properly hydrated throughout the day, lack of doing so can result in a loss of performance during your workouts. Also it is okay to take a preworkout supplement prior to working out as well, depending on your views on taking supplements. For some preworkouts do wonders when working out, especially if you are feeling tired. For others it only gives them gitters and doesn’t improve workout performance. Your best bet in getting in a good workout is making sure that you get in a good meal to give yourself fuel to workout out at your maximum intensity.
