One of the greatest authors of not only the Victorian era but one of the best writers in history. Charles Dickens was known for several works that have become classics. The tale of two cities, A Christmas carol, Oliver twist and David Copperfield just to name a few. Dickens was a catalyst for the works that he wrote. Growing up in 19th century London Dickens had an extremely difficult childhood. His family has badly in debt and a young Dickens was forced to leave school at 12 to help support his family. He had to work in a rat infested factory, 6 days per week just to make enough to survive. Dickens had a dream that one day he would become one of the great writers of his time. For months in his spare time Dickens wrote essays and submitted him in the dead of night, hoping that one of them was good enough to be published. Rejection after rejection his persistence never wavered. One day the letter of his dreams came, his essay had been accepted. With tears of joy running down his face he had finally arrived. Dickens never looked back after that, continuing to write for the rest of his life. In the process writing several masterpieces. Dickens wrote with his heart and soul and his readers could sense that on every page. You must know that you can make something out of almost nothing if you believe. Be persistent and never give up, no matter how many times you fail. Make your life into a beautiful masterpiece.
