Sunday Success Story: Kai Greene

Sunday Success Story

Kai Greene is one of the top bodybuilders currently in the sport. A two time Arnold classic champion and two time runner up to the Olympia title. He is sponsored by musclemeds and has thousands of fans. Where is man came from to get to this point is an amazing story. In the sport of bodybuilding countless hours are spent on training, nutrition and supplementation. It is truly a 24/7 job that commands sacrifice, dedication and determination as well as a lot of money to buy food. Kai is a true example of making every penny count and truly believing that you can get more out of life, regardless of current circumstances. Kai grew up in Brooklyn, New York never knowing his mother or father, living in an orphanage until his teens. After that he moved from foster home to foster home as another member of the system. A pissed off kid that couldn’t either read or write but one day that all changed. Kai got his hands on a bodybuilding magazine and realized that there could be more for his life. Be began to train and started to compete at a young age. Kai did whatever it took to make a living and pay to support himself. He lived from meal to meal, continuing to pursue the sport he loved. Becoming a journeyman in the pro ranks Kai never gave up on his dreams. At one point he only had seven dollars left in his pocket, winning the best poser award in the Shawn Ray classic. His tears in his eyes he thanked Shawn because he didn’t know what he was going to do if he didn’t win. Without a sponsor to pay him he won the Arnold classic with the odds against him. Always humble he never allowed the fame to get the best of him, still living simple to this day. No matter what has happened to you in your life, whether it is the present or past your life can still turn around in a grand way. Make that passion happen for your life and do whatever it takes to make it a reality.
